Modified Style Portland (MSP) is an organization that promotes sustainability and ethical fashion. Each designer is provided with fabric that has been donated, or otherwise would have been thrown out. With this fabric, I designed and created a four look collection for women. The looks are then auctioned off and the proceeds go towards the MSP organization.
The inspiration for this collection was royal women and African queens. Nefertiti and Cleopatra were strong powerful queens in history. I used the fabric given to me to create simple but regal designs for a diverse group of women. The collection features a mix of strong colors and textiles, also custom made jewelry by Shawn Spears.
