Inspiration: Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, New York City. The Bethesda Fountain was created to remember the construction of the aqueducts that brought fresh water to New York City. I was inspired by the idea of controlling and releasing the water. A technique I used was pleating, expressing the flow of water and fluidity. Another technique I used was sewing cording into fabric to create archways, controlling the fabric, but allowing it to release.
